President’s Comments

Dear Members and Friends,

Let me first thank the members of the Journal Committee for this edition of The OPSEC Journal. Special thanks to Pat Geary, OCP and Past President, and Janice Edwards, OPS Member who worked to pull all the pieces together for production. It has been some time since the publication of a Society journal, and we are hopeful that we will publish one journal per year in the future.

Second, although we are working on a number of projects in the Society, one of the most important is cataloguing of past articles and journals in an electronic library. This library will represent the written portion of our “body of knowledge.” As we proceed on this path, you will see there is much we can learn from a review of these gems from the past. The next step is to expand this body of knowledge by articulating and sharing our new thoughts, ideas, and crystallized wisdom via papers and proceedings.

Over the next year, we will finish our second decade as a Society and enter a third decade that will bring more challenges to our profession. We encourage all members and friends to contribute as we meet those challenges and solve tomorrow’s problems as a team. Enjoy this journal and as you read the articles, write down those thoughts and ideas and consider contributing to the next edition.
